Third Culture Kids
Third culture kids (TCKs) carry unique strengths and challenges, growing up in a culture different from their parents’, and often forming a blended sense of identity. With the right support, they can learn to feel grounded, understood, and confident as they progress through life.
Therapy may help if your adolescent or teen is adjusting to moves or school changes, struggling with identity or belonging, experiencing anxiety or low mood, having difficulty expressing emotions or forming connections, or navigating reentry after living abroad.
Sessions are developmentally appropriate and collaborative. Together, we work to build emotional awareness, identify patterns, develop coping skills, and strengthen confidence and resilience at a pace that feels supportive for both your child and family.
Families often notice improved communication, reduced anxiety, greater confidence, and a stronger sense of identity and belonging.
If you are considering therapy for your adolescent or teen, I invite you to schedule a free consultation call. We can talk about any questions or concerns, and determine if this might be the right fit for your family.
